Courtesy of Neil Gaiman, how tragically beautiful are these abandoned Russian houses? Watching last weeks's CSI. Brass's face when Drops said about "sending each other cupcakes on facebook", aw. Awww Brass - "Yippee. We're going to the hood." I love his deadpan delivery. Nick fails at looking nonchalant. Drops face at the mini-Britney! Aw I love CSI. OMG, THIS IS THE MOST ELABORATE CSI EVER, escape through a burger and fridge! Newer CSI: OMG, the cow in a dress. "I already took photos, Doc." "Not for my personal scrapbook you didn't!" I LOOOOVE Doc and Dave's scenes. BWAHAH. "She's very shiny". I don't even review eps, I just quote random lines. OMFG MYTHBUSTERS! "What gene turned your nose brown?" OH I LOVE THIS SHOW. Tags: links

You called me, sayin’ every line From the stupid book Like you thought you deserved Another word Another look You don’t shine You don’t shine You don’t shine to me Chorus: So go away and leave me alone You’re nothing that I haven’t seen before There’s the door So why aren’t you gone? Haven’t you heard that You don’t shine You don’t shine You don’t shine to me No sweet-talking No moonlight walking I’ve heard about you all over this small town And none of it was good sweetheart You take a full heart Then leave it broken and alone And you’re damn wrong If you think I’m gonna let you do that to me Chorus: So go away and leave me alone You’re nothing that I haven’t seen before There’s the door So why aren’t you gone? Haven’t you heard that You don’t shine You don’t shine You don’t shine to me Am I supposed to be falling to my knees? Falling to your feet? I don’t think so I don’t think so I don’t need you tonight I don’t need you in this life or the next Chorus: So go away and leave me alone You’re nothing that I haven’t seen before There’s the door So why aren’t you gone? Haven’t you heard that You don’t shine You don’t shine You don’t shine to me

(this is really fractured... I have a lot to say but my mind is all over the place at the moment) RENT is a musical. It's set in NYC in the early '90s and revolves around a bohemian group of friends as they deal with relationships, homophobia, homelessness, disease, addictions, their work, their dreams and life. It's based on L'Boheme. Jonathan Larson wrote the musical and died of a aortic aneurysrm, the night before his show premiered. It opened in the Nederland Theatre on 29th April 1996. It became a hit, winning the Pulitzer Prize for drama, winning four Tonys and running on Broadway for years. It's the 7th longest running show on Broadway, it will close this year on 7th September 2008. I know people say that RENT has dated, what with it's HIV/AIDS references, but as scientists are questioning whether the search for an AIDS vaccine should stop, I find it more relevant than ever. I just love the show so much, I hate the fact that the UK has had rubbish showings of it with people like CAPRICE AND ADAM RICKETT. I wish we could get Adam and Anthony over here for two nights or something, it'd sell out. Don't even get me started on that "remix" by Kylie's producer. I looked through my RENT book which is a gorgeous book of photographs of the show, the background, contributions from everyone involved and the script/lyrics. I wanted to share some of it with you. ( so many beautiful talented people brought these characters to life! )Thank you Jonathan. How do you measure the life of a woman or a man? in truths that she learned or in times that he cried, in bridges he burned or the way that she died? ......
