Guns in "The Outsiders"
The first gun that appears in the movie is a revolver that Dally gives Johnny and Ponyboy. In the book, Dally leaves the room and returns with the gun and money, saying the money is what he got out of Buck. So, one can assume he also got the gun from Buck. There is no mention in the book about what kinds of guns they have. In the movie, Dally already has the gun in his room.

This is likely a Smith and Wesson .357 Magnum revolver with a 4" barrel. I'd hazard a guess at a Model 19 or Model 27/28, probably the 27/28, because it's a bigger framed gun. It's blued steel.

The second gun appears when Dally picks the boys up in Windrixville and shows them that he's been carrying it for protection. It's a semi-auto handgun, and is the one he robs the store with and ends up getting killed because of it.

I've identified the gun as a Star model P, a .45 calibre semi-auto. They are made in Spain and are based on the Colt 1911 handgun. It carries 8 rounds (7 in the magazine, 1 in the chamber) and has wood grips and an external extractor. There is a slightly smaller version, the Model B, which is chambered for 9mm, but I believe this is the .45 based on the size. It has a much milder recoil than other .45s.

There's also a gun used by the store clerk who fires on Dally when he robs the place. He's got a stainless steel or nickel plated revolver, also likely a S&W, in .357 Magnum or .38 Special. It could be a Model 19, 64.

(And for the record, I've never shot anything other than a BB gun in my life, this is all purely research lol)
